Alleged Police Report Claims That Scott Stapp Was Placed On A 72-Hour Psych Hold

Mental illnesses are serious health issues that affect thousands of Americans on a regular basis. Many people are not aware of how serious it can get: Scott Stapp was placed in confinement for being a possible danger to himself and others due to a mental health issue.

Florida cops had placed the former rock vocalist of Creed, Scott Stapp, in a 72-hour psych hold before he filmed video discussing his current status and relationship with God. In this case, Scott was involuntarily placed in a confinement facility for 3 days due to a serious mental illness that makes him a danger to himself or to others. TMZ had obtained a Madison County Florida Sheriff’s Dept. report which says deputies found Scott on the side of a road Nov. 13 and he appeared wasted, incoherent and rambling that someone was trying to poison him. Cops placed him on a 72-hour psych hold.

Stapp’s wife had reported him to the local police about his drug use and abnormal thoughts. She feared that he would have done something to harm either himself or someone else. According to Alternative Nation, “Jaclyn Stapp, Stapp’s estranged wife who filed for divorce, filed legal documents claiming that Stapp was on a drug binge fueled by steroids, weed, cocaine, PCP, Special K, and crystal meth. She also said Stapp threatened to kill himself and his AA sponsor, and feared that his kids would get attacked by ISIS. Stapp has released three videos this week proclaiming that he is sober and that reports of a relapse are incorrect, and that all of his money has been stolen from him.”

Stapp spent 72 hours in a confined place, where he received the necessary treatment and safety for himself and for others during that time. TMZ is now claiming that his wife has dismissed her petition to put him in police custody.
