Young Ejecta, dream-pop Brooklyn-based duo, has released a second single from the earlier announced mini-album ‘The Planet,’ due to be released January 27 via Driftless Recordings. Following the first single ‘Welcome To Love,’ the new song ‘Your Planet’ is something different.
Tender as a butterfly, that disco lullaby appears to be a sexy little thing! The minimalistic approach Leanne Macomber and Joel Ford use in their music is starting to yield results.
Mostly instrumental, the song depends on the catchy beat and various synthesizer stuffing to a greater extent. However, it’s everything but boring or monotonous. Listen for yourself!
Being a first full-value studio record under the name of Young Ejecta (due to a DJ Ejecta claim leading to name change), ‘The Planet’ is the duo’s second overall collaboration, following 2013’s LP ‘Dominae.’ How unlike is the sophomore mini-album, we’ll see at the end of January.
