Ryan Adams spoke against a fan for taking photos because he has Ménière’s Disease.
Ryan Adams lashed out at a fan during a concert for taking a picture with flash due to the fact that he has Ménière’s Disease. The disease is an inner ear alignment that causes vertigo and can be triggered my flashing lights, as reported on Spin.
The singer stopped his performance to say to the fan:
Hi, my name is Ryan and I have Ménière’s Disease. If you flash me with your camera, it feels like you took a lightsaber and you sliced my brain in half.
The rant was followed by cheers from the audience but Adams apologized for his outburst before the concert ended.
Adams will continue to be on tour until December and also recently released new video for his song, “Do You Laugh When You Lie?”
