Rabbit Rabbit is the husband-and-wife musical duo of Carla Kihlstedt and Matthias Bossi. They started the Rabbit Rabbit project, as a way to get back to the types of music that inspired them; namely, art and folk songs, industrial music, ballads, and improvisational songs. And, what’s the result of that combination of influences? Acoustic songs that are intimate and dramatic, which range from sparse to rich, and poignant to lighthearted.

They announced the new release via twitter, by tweeting out the following message to their followers. It read:

And, by now you may be wondering, who is Jon Evans?

Well, apart from his collaborations and contributions on bass and guitar with Rabbit Rabbit, when their schedules align, Evans is best known as Tori Amos’s longtime guitarist and bass player. But, he also has played on tours or studio recordings with Linda Perry, Sarah McLachlan, and countless others. Additionally, he is a producer and recording engineer, who built a studio – San Pablo Recorders – in 2000, according to his website.

So, what does “All Over Again” sound like?

It has a feel that is influenced by blues and folk, with Bossi taking lead vocal duties on the song. Lyrically, it’s a story song, and in this case, the story is that of a man who’s “starting all over again”, following a breakup with his significant other. The black and white video itself is simplistic, with Bossi – barefoot, but dressed in a tuxedo – sitting in a chair, looking over writing on a white streamer-like strip of paper.

This collaboration with Evans is a part of Rabbit Rabbit Radio, in which Rabbit Rabbit releases one new track on the first day of each month during the year to their fans. Rabbit Rabbit began the radio adventure in 2012, saw the release of first album last year, and have plans to release this material as well in the future.
