After successfully collaborating with Daft Punk on their highly acclaimed and Grammy winning album, Random Access Memories, Julian Casablancas says there is another song they teamed up on, and he would like it released.

Said to be even weirder than “Instant Crush”, Casablancas revealed during a Revolt TV segment, that he had recently seen Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, pushing for him to release the other song they did together. When describing the song, Julian said,
“It’s cool, weird. It’s definitely not one tenth as populicious as “Instant Crush,” but it’s just really weird. It’s like a song that just goes up. It’s like four half-steps up, moving as that on cycle, on repeat. And it’s super bizarre. And it sounds like jazz modern weird. It’s weirder than any song on the record that I know of.”
According to Stereogum it is uncertain whether he means that the unreleased song is weirder than anything on the Voidz album Tyranny, or if the collaboration is weirder than anything on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
In the segment, the band talked a little about their 11 minute live version of “Human Sadness”, rather than use the studio recorded track.
After releasing Random Access Memories in May of 2013, the duo then released video for “Instant Crush” in December. In March, Julian performed the song with his band the Voidz, live for the first time at SXSW.
