The incredibly diverse selection of the Mexico City based festival has outdone even it’s own wildest eclectic dreams. See you there.
Since it’s inception in 2010, Fesitval Nrmal has focused on presenting a program, or lineup, of very new and fresh diverse music. Underground artists and sometimes slightly shocking, out of the norm musical acts are the focus of much of what goes on at the festival. The lineup choices are purposeful, and their eclectic nature emphasizes the power and quality of live acts, rather than it’s impact on mainstream musical market success. The priority is closeness and intimacy in the real experience of music from all around the world, from nations as diverse as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico, Sweden, Brazil, Spain, Syria, Australia, Germany, Canada, France and the United States.
For the 2015 show, many of the projects that will be exhibited come to Mexico city through collaborations with cultural institutions such as the French Embassy and Harmonipan, who are partially responsible for the diverse nature of the acts that will perform.
Here is the lineup for the festival, conveniently posted in alphabetical order. For more information check out the info from Impose Magazine.
