Grüne Hölle Rock Festival Announces 2015 Lineup Featuring Muse, Metallica, And Faith No More

Germany’s legendary Nürburgring will be hosting a new rock festival! Der Ring – Grüne Hölle Rock Festival will take place from the 29th to the 31st of May 2015.

Following in the tradition of Wacken Open Air and Rock am Ring, Grüne Hölle Rock is another festival that will bring together a lineup of well-known international rock bands bands with rock music fans from across Germany, neighboring European countries, and many other locations.

Nürburgring is located with in the region of Rheinland-Pfalz, which shares borders with Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. Our readers in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland may want to check out the sister-concert Rockavaria, which is taking place in Bavaria on the same weekend, if the trek to Grüne Hölle Rock seems a bit too far.

So, what can those fans expect?

Well, despite a change in the event promoter, Nuerburgring.de is promising, “[t]hree days of rock music at its finest on three stages, mud-slinging and party atmosphere on the numerous tent and caravan pitches as well as the unique festival atmosphere at the Nürburgring.”

Tickets on sale now at an ‘early bird’ price of 169 Euros, which includes admission for all three days of the festival and a camping pass. The price also includes parking and a 5 Euro garbage deposit.

The 2015 festival will be headlined by a series of well-known American rock and metal bands, including Faith No More, and Five Finger Death Punch, Incubus, Anti-Flag, and Testament. Additionally, Metallica and KISS – two of the beloved classic metal bands with huge international followings – will be performing. And, the headlining list also features several well-known European bands; including, England’s Muse, who confirmed via Twitter that they are working on their seventh studio album with legendary producer Mutt Lange; Norway’s Turbonegro, who are touring behind their 2012 album Sexual Harassment; and, German metal band Accept, who – after a series of hiatuses over the years since their formation in 1968 – are touring in support of their 2014 album, Blind Rage, that reached Number 1 on the charts in their home country.

Additionally, there will be performances by Any Given Day, Arcane Roots, Emmure, Exodus, Hang the Bastard, Kissin’ Dynamite, Orchid, Poets of the Fall, The Darkness, and The Picturebooks, with more to be announced.
