The new album, available on December 2, will be Wu-Tang Clan’s first proper album in seven years. RZA, also known as The Abbott, helmed the album, which is a 15-track exploration of sound spanning classic Wu-Tang Clan but staying modern enough to not feel like old news. It begins with “Ruckus In B Minor,” a hip-hop track with a funk-inspired tune and plenty of bragging, “still number one!” The song even begins with the late ODB announcing himself on the track.

Earlier in 2014, the future of the Wu-Tang Clan and A Better Tomorrow were questionable, due to a public feud between RZA and Raekwon. Also in the spring, the group generated buzz with an album called Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, of which only one copy was made and sold. They also appeared on The Daily Show to perform single “Ron O’Neal” over the summer, and finally announced the release date for their latest album at the beginning of October. Just before the release of A Better Tomorrow, Wu-Tang Clan is participating in Record Store Day’s Back to Black Friday, with their album C.R.E.A.M.
