The Bug And Earth Announce Collaboration For Single Set Boa/Cold Out November 2014

Damn, why these two never worked together before?!

Dub master The Bug (Kevin Martin) and ‘the merchant of drone metal’ (as proclaimed by The Guardian) Earth (led by Dylan Carlson) are really meant for each other.

As a part of Black Friday Record Store Day, hitting stores November 28, the duo will make a special release of two songs – ‘Boa’ and ‘Cold’, via Ninja Tune Records.

‘Boa’ is available for listening right now via Soundcloud. Having something in common with Massive Attack’s ‘Mezzanine’, the song is totally incomparable at the same time. Originally intended for The Bug’s Angels & Devils, Carlson’s 7-minute guitar mantra required more room to stretch out, so they moved the song to a special 12″ release.

In its turn, ‘Cold’, previously described by Martin to factmag.com as ‘tectonic, shifting beauty’, remains a mystery.

In anticipation of Record Store Day Bug v Earth release, catch the vibe of ‘Boa’ right now.
