New Supergroup Metal Allegiance Forms, Featuring Members Philip Anselmo, Joey Belladonna And Scott Ian

Sometimes the best things in life are the random ones. One of them is “a heavy metal all-star band” Metal Allegiance.

The band that seems to have been formed occasionally, after Megadeth has pulled out of the Motörhead’s Motörboat Cruise, is turning into a massive jam outfit. Playing the best from Pantera, as well as covers for Black Sabbath, AC\DC, Led Zeppelin, Rush and more, Metal Allegiance does not seem ephemeral at all.

After having played a set on Motörboat cruise, sailed September 22nd to 26th, the new supergroup has confirmed its participation in ShipRocked 2015 Cruise, slated for February 2nd to 6th, 2015 from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay. Feeling sorry for the seasick.

Metal Allegiance is:
– singers Philip Anselmo (Down, ex-Pantera), Joey Belladonna (Anthrax) and Chuck Billy (Testament),
– guitarists Chris Broderick (Megadeth), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Gary Holt (Slayer/Exodus), Jon Donais (Shadows Fall, Anthrax), Alex Skolnick (Testament) and Mark Zavon (Kill Devil Hill, W.A.S.P.),
– bassists Frank Bello (Anthrax), David Ellefson (Megadeth) and Rex Brown (ex-Pantera),
– drummers Charlie Benante (Anthrax), John Tempesta (Exodus) and Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, ex-Dream Theater).

Let us share Mike Portnoy’s euphoria talking about the new-formed band:

“We’re fans just like everybody on the other side of the stage watching us. We all love this music and Metal Allegiance gives us a chance to hang, jam and have fun with this unique brotherhood of metal!”
