In anticipation of his forthcoming LP Z2: Dark Matters, due to be released October 27th, Devin Townsend has launched his Ziltoid website and series of his ZTV episodes. Well, the more – the merrier.
Devin’s new record theme is space – we can see that both in ZTV and a lyric video for ‘Deathray’ – a single from the upcoming album, showing numerous spaceships shooting Earth from blasters.
ZTV itself features Ziltoid – a commander of a spaceship sent to assimilate into the human race in order to find out whether Earth is a suitable replacement of his own planet.
Full of absurd, the second episode does not touch any serious issues, basically concentrated on themes of poop and boobies. With a portion of good ol’ alien humor, ZTV isn’t the worst way to spend seven minutes of your life 🙂
