Drew Lustman, originally from New Haven, Connecticut, recently released his fourth album In The Wild back in August.

On his new EP, the opening song “Greater Antilles VIP” is presented to the listener as completely unedited. Another, titled “Do Me” features vocal edits by his girlfriend claiming that this track is “for the kids.” The sounds seem to be as wide-ranging as his work on In The Wild. His final two songs “M ///I\II\\\\” and “P ///I\II\\\\” are created from a piano set up that is both soft and dark, respectively.

Lustman’s extended musical family is where he cites his inspiration. Tracing back to his Bolivian roots, he based his reworks on a particular style of Bolivian metal music that incorporates both breathy vocals and minimal music.

“I’ve been wanting to write a song in this specific Bolivian style for some time,” Lustman explains.
