The electronic producer is hitting the road this winter. Here’s a list of dates you can catch him before the new year.
UK-based producer James Blake is heading across the pond soon. He just announced a handful of new tour dates.
The mini tour will take him through Toronto, then down both coasts of the US before wrapping up. It’s not an extensive tour, but it’s one his fans have been waiting to hear about.
The tour dates will cap Blake’s performance this year at Paris’ Pitchfork Music Festival. If you want to snag tickets to the show, you’ll have to be quick. So far Blake has only announced five shows in North America, and only four of those are in the US.
Fans in middle America will have to wait a bit longer to check out a live show from this electronic master. He’s skipping the center of the country entirely, going for a few brief stops in the East and West coasts. If you happen to be in New York, Miami, San Francisco or Los Angeles, you’re in luck.
Blake is still relatively new on the electronic scene, although he has made a huge impact. He put out his self-titled record in 2011 and has gone on to win numerous music awards. He was even nominated for a Grammy. That’s not too shabby for less than a decade of official releases.
His last album, Overgrown, was released in 2013. Since then, Blake has toured around the world. He had to cancel part of his last North American tour due to a schedule conflict. He had a good excuse: he was being awarded the Mercury Prize. What was more impressive was his win over other huge music names David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys and Disclosure.
Fans in the south who missed out in 2013 don’t have an opportunity yet to check out James Blake. These are so far the only tour dates he’s announced. Check in with us for more updates on future tour announcements.
For the North American tour dates, Blake will be on the road with Airhead. The pair have collaborated frequently in the past, so their styles should mesh well together on the upcoming tour.
