Amanda Palmer is going on tour and multitasking: she will be performing and promoting her book.
American singer, pianist, lyricist/composer and writer Amanda Palmer has announced the dates of her latest music and book tour. Amanda Palmer is of Dresden Dolls fame. Her solo career has also been successful. She is a part of the Evelyn Evelyn duo. She is the lead singer and songwriter of Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra. Her most recent book is called: The Art of Asking: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Let People Help.
On her tumblr, Palmer wrote:
every book-concert tour date is going to have a piano (which I will play), a ukulele (which i will attempt to play) and i’m also going to be chatting with the audience and with a special guest in every city. the idea is partly to promote the book…but also to play music, which is (we forget sometimes) what i actually *do*. i have a handful of new songs i’ll be playing. they’re frighteningly personal, which makes me scared to play them, which is always good. and i’ll probably come up with some crazy last-minute shit to do that is going to confuse everybody, because that’s just how i roll. i may re-enact the “bathroom confessional”, a stunt i very much enjoyed during tours past when i asked people to meet me in the bathroom stalls for private chats.
So, yes, fans- Palmer will be doing both musical performances and discussing her book with fans across the country. You can find a list of tour dates below.
