Canadian power-pop is going colorful! Vancouver septet The New Pornographers will make your day with the new video for ‘Dancehall Domine’ of their August-released sixth studio album ‘Brill Bruisers’.
‘Dancehall Domine’ is the third single off The New Pornographers latest album, called ‘the best record ever made’ by the band’s frontman Carl Newman. The funny thing about the new video, previewed by the live performance of the song shown earlier, is that it’s about… making the video itself, someway similar to Kasabian’s ‘Eez-eh’ clip idea.
Unlike the industrial reality of ‘War On The East Coast’, ‘Dancehall Domine’ is an indoor footage, playing with colors and completely different characters used in the filmmaking. Add a bunch of serious faces and a vintage part – and you get an admirable new video that’ll settle deep into your head.
