Andre Costello and the Cool Minors have released a new song called “Places”.
Singer and guitarist Costello created his debut album on his own in 2011, providing all the sounds.
In late 2011, Costello started to put together a backing band called “The Cool Minors”.
The band is now made up of bassist/vocalist Matthew Fiorillo and drummer Nicholas Charters. This current lineup debuted Summer’s Best EP in 2012. In 2013, along with filmmaker Samuel Price, the band filmed a video component to Summer’s Best which they called a “Visual EP”. The video had its premiere this past March.
The band’s new songs will be released when they perform at The Warhol Museum on October 3. The performance will also include some songs from Costello’s solo days.
The new album The Rattling Arcade will be out October 7 via Wild Kindness Records. It is Costello’s first full-length record and the third one he has released with the Wild Kindness label.
Although this record has a full-band sound which contrasts to Costello’s earliest work, his songs are still full of emotion and playing with words. The lyrics of the Costello’s songs are intriguing and paint unique images in the listener’s mind.
