Wallpaper features producer and songwriter Ricky Reed of Oakland (root for local!), as well as Arjun Singh and Tom Peyton on drums, Derek Taylor on percussion and Novena Carmel (daughter of Sly of Sly and the Family Stone) on vocals. Wallpaper is a blend of electopop, soul, and hip-hop with an 80’s edge, and and is often compared to LFMAO and Macklemore. They released their debut album Doodoo face in 2009 via Eenie Meenie, and their most recent album Ricky Reed is Real in 2013. Wallpaper’s Eps include their 2006 self-titled EP, 2009 T REX EP, and 2011 #STUPIDFACEDD EP. Popular tracks include party anthems F**king Best Song Everr, Good 4 It, Drunken Hearts, Trouble, Puke My Brains Out, and The Underdog.
Ricky Reed has moreover produced Jason Derulo’s tracks Wiggle and Talk Dirty, in addition to Far East Movement’s track The Illest. Wallpaper has toured with K.Flay, Awolnation, and Gym Class Heroes, and has also played Coachella and SXSW.
