Chicago’s Twin Peaks was formed in 2009. Band members Clay Frankel, Camden Lake Jame, Jack Dolan and Connor Brodner began playing together in high school and continued doing so while some band members briefly attended Evergreen College. After dropping out, the band relocated back to Chicago. Their debut Sunken was written and recorded in 2012, but officially came out on Autumn Tone in 2013. The band met the label through friends in the band The Orwells.
Their next release Wild Onion was released the following year on Grand Jury. It is also available on cassette tape via Burger Records. The record includes the tracks “I Found A New Way”, “Flavor” and “Strawberry Smoothie.” Spin wrote, “the third single from Twin Peaks’ upcoming Wild Onion LP, ‘Strawberry Smoothie’ throws a dizzy nod to the Buzzcocks’ playfully rough-edged guitar-rock while frontman Caiden Lake James howls and pleads from the center of the mess.” The band itself describes their new album as “a modern day Nuggets, with Black Lips, Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall curating instead of Lenny Kaye.”
