The Southern California metalcore band ATREYU just released a brand new song called “So Others May Live.” Fans can download the song for free here.
The band announced on their website that they are releasing it for free as a way to thank their fans for all of their support through the years. ATREYU recently became active after taking a hiatus for three years.
Singer Alex Varkatzas says that the new song is inspired by one of his friends and it honors those who have served in the military. It also “condemns” the American government, according to Varkatzas, for what he views as unfairly using the working class to keep the rest of the country safe.
The band has upcoming performances: in Chain Reaction on September 11 in Orange County, the AFTERSHOCK Festival in Sacramento on September 14, and Knotfest in Southern California on October 25.
