LISTEN: Jack U Releases New Song Take You There Featuring Kiesza

The collaborative, super-DJ duo Jack U has recently released a new song on Soundcloud called “Take U There.” The song, which features Kiesza, highlights the talents of two of the most infamous DJs that have come to light in recent years: Skrillex and Diplo.

A strange kind of buzz went out when Diplo announced new collaboration with Skrillex shortly after confirming the lineup for his Mad Decent Block Party. Very few knew what to expect from the duo right off the bat, but since releasing the latest single, Jack U has allayed any doubts that may have crept into the minds of their fans and instead filled said hypothetical doubt with magnificent electronic beats and heavy bass tones.

Diplo gained notoriety in the music world after M.I.A. joined up with the then-unknown DJ some ten years ago. Since then, Diplo has become one of the more popular DJs in the nation, hosting his Mad Decent Block Party every year for the past few years. Despite some recent controversy after a couple of deaths at his latest Mad Decent Block Party, Diplo has bounced back, recently performing at an ACL Late-Night Show. Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Pentz, is also co-founder of the non-profit organization Heaps Decent, which helps promote artists from disadvantaged communities.

There are few who have heard of Sonny Moore, but there are fewer still who haven’t heard of the stage name for which Moore is more widely known: Skrillex. Skrillex has become one of the most popular DJs of all time since adopting the stage moniker back in 2008. In addition to the Jack U collaboration with Diplo, Skrillex has recently released a new video for “Try It Out”, and has also announced dates for an upcoming Fall 2014 tour.

Be sure to listen to “Take You There” here. While no tour dates have been announced for Jack U, it isn’t too inconceivable to see these two explosive DJs teaming up once again for a few shows.
