GWAR Announces Fall 2014 Tour Dates

After the recent death and funeral of fellow bandmate Dave Brockie better known as Oderus Urungus, GWAR sets off on tour in search of their lost brother.

In this time of mourning, BalSac The Jaws of Death asks their fans and themselves one question, “Where is Oderus Urungus?” To answer that question, the band has decided to go on tour and, “scour our leader’s favorite stomping ground, North America, leaving no city unsearched, no venue unrazed, and no sheep unmolested.” The band feels that Gwar Eternal Tour 2014 will give their fans a chance to “gather and share a bunch of feelings as a community while experiencing the sickest band in this or any other world.”

GWAR has added a new character Blothar, who is played by Michael Bishop and used to play Beefcake the Mighty years ago, to take the place of founder and lead singer Dave Brockie, who did of an accidental heroin overdose in March.

Jamison Land, the current Beefcake the Mighty’s personal slave and bass tech:

Dave was our friend and anchor for as far back as anyone can remember. He’s held us together, and sometimes he drove us apart. He is our brother and we love him. Unlike a lot of prominent musicians, he was friends with all of the fans. He made GWAR fans feel special on a personal level. The fans love Dave as much as we do and ‘The GWAR Eternal Tour 2014’ is our way of getting together and sharing that love.”

GWAR Eternal Tour 2014 which kicks off September 12 at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL and will end December 13 in Baltimore, MD. All shows will be opened by American Sharks, while the first leg will feature Decapitated and the second leg will feature Corrosion of Conformity.
