New Build Announces New Album Pour It On For October 2014 Release

London-based group New Build have announced the full details of their upcoming album, Pour It On, set to come out in just a couple of months. Accompanying the announcement is a music video for “The Sunlight,” the lead track off of the album.

Recorded in house at the band’s own Lanark Studios and produced by New Build themselves, Pour It On features a wide variety of danceable, electro-pop tunes and is the first album by the group since their 2012 debut effort, Yesterday Was Lived And Lost. New Build consists of former Hot Chip members Al Doyle and Felix Martin and also features Tom Hopkins. Hopkins, who originally worked with Doyle and Martin as a composer in the Hot Chip days, looks to place his own electronic stamp onto the record, pairing quite nicely with Doyle’s vocals. The ten-track album pushes the envelope of the electronic music genre, incorporating smooth yet funky beats with lyrics that explore some of the darker elements of the human psyche.

Pour It On is set to release on October 20th of this year. Watch the video for the fantastic single “The Sunlight” here.
