Join local group Con Brio for their album release party in November at the Rickshaw stop. Frontman Ziek McCarter seems like a younger version of Bruno Mars with his soulful motown-flashback-inducing voice, extreme charisma on stage, and collection of fancy footwork and wicked dance moves. They have played local venues Independent and Cafe du Nord, and in 2012 embarked on their first national tour. Con Brio currently consists of Ziek McCarter on vocals, Micah Dubreuil on bass, Jonathan Kirchner on Bass, Andrew Laubacher on drums, and Benjamin Andrews on tenor sax and trumpet, and their music is a blend of blues, soul, R&B, and funk.
