Ty Segall’s new album Manipulator can be streamed online via NPR. Some feel this is his best album yet, showing fans a wide range of his talent through this 17 track album that will not disappoint.
Segall continues to surprise us as he is known for producing albums rather quickly. Segall spent one month working on the recordings for this album, which is set for release on August 26. This is compared to his usual rate of spitting out records in approximately two days.
NPR commented on the album saying, “All the flourishes you’d expect from that sort of investment — string sections, lush arrangements, percussion breakdowns — are present, but they don’t overpower the music. Really, they couldn’t; Segall has never written a batch of songs more neatly engineered to fit together.”
