Little Dragon are currently out supporting their latest album, but now they’ve announced plans to continue their tour into the fall. The fall portion of the tour will begin in October hitting locations across North America before the band heads across the pond to England in November. But of course, you don’t have to travel quite that far. You can catch Little Dragon right here in Philadelphia when they perform at Union Transfer on October 13th.
Their new album, Nabuma Rubberband, was released in May of this year. It’s the fourth studio album from the Swedish synth-pop band. It debuted at number 14 on the UK Albums Chart, making it the group’s highest peaking album on the chart thus far. Much of the album actually draws its influence from Janet Jackson. With lead singer Yukimi Nagano saying, “When you put some of Janet’s really slow stuff on you feel like you’re floating. That feeling really influenced me and maybe that’s why there are quite a lot of slow jams on the record.”
This November, you’ll want to make sure you’re in attendance to catch Nagano and the other members of Little Dragon as they take over the stage at Union Transfer. Along with the tour announcement, the group has also unveiled a remix of their single “Pretty Girls.” The remix comes courtesy of singer/producer Mikky Ekko and you can take a listen here.
