House Of Blues Sunset Strip Strip To Be Replaced With Hotel and Condo Complex

A great entertainment icon in the City of Angels is soon to be put out to pasture. After a twenty year residency, the great House of Blues on the Sunset Strip will be demolished and replaced by a hotel and a series of condominiums.

Originally built in 1994, the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip has played host to an amazing array of live acts and recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary with Third Eye Blind performing at the venue back in December. Beginning in late 2015, the iconic venue will be replaced by a brand new complex, featuring a new hotel, new condos, and, allegedly another new entertainment venue. Although not quite as historic as other Los Angeles venues such as the Whisky, the House of Blues has existed as a hub for recording artists to perform and share in the love of the greatest of all uniquely American musical traditions: the Blues. The House of Blues has been more widely known to play host to some great live music, yet it has also stood as a museum of sorts, preserving the legacy of both the blues and the countless number of African American artists which helped form the foundations of the genre, and allows other artists to carry on that legacy.

Until the eventual demolition and relocation of the Sunset Strip venue, there are still several concerts lined up at the House, so be sure to grab some crawfish and sit yourself down to some Summertime Blues while the House of Blues still rests on the Strip.
