Foo Fighters Unveil Cover Image for Sonic Highways

The Foo Fighters have been teasing fans with images and locations from around the world that could be the cover art to their upcoming eighth studio album via Twitter and Facebook. However, the band will not reveal their big news until Monday, according to AlternativeNation.com.

When pieced together the eight poster images reveal the following image that was put together by users of the social site, Reddit.

The image shows Seattle’s Space Needle, the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, The Washington Monument, and One World Trade Center in New York City, among many others. It also features an ‘8’ prominently in the center. If this image is confirmed as the album’s cover art, it would be fitting as the upcoming Foo Fighter’s album was recorded in eight different cities and features a total of eight tracks.

The challenging part of the recording process was that – like Wasting Time – the band recorded everything on two 24-inch analogue tape machines that weigh 800 pounds, according to Dave Grohl.

The band’s journey will be explored in an HBO documentary, Sonic Highways, premiering in October 2014.
