Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter, Kamal Gray, F. “Knuckles” Walker, Captain Kirk Douglas, Damon “Tuba Gooding Jr.” Bryson, James Poyser and Mark Kelley make up the hip hop group The Roots. The band is perhaps best know for their role as the house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The song “Here I Come” has been the show’s theme since they joined in 2009. They left for The Tonight Show when Fallon took over as host in 2014. The band has also released over a dozen albums, collecting numerous Grammys as well as other awards.
Tickets will be handed out at the Union Square, Brooklyn, Queens, Paramus, North Paramus, Yonkers, Carle Place and Totowa locations as well as the Guitar Center at Time Square on August 5th at 12PM. Details here.
