LISTEN: Kimbra Releases New Song “Miracle” and Announces 2014 Tour Dates

The New Zealand pop singer Kimbra has released a new song titled “Miracle” which will be on her new album The Golden Echo coming out August 19 in the US.

Kimbra’s unique sound is captured well in this new song. The sounds of electropop and a strong beat are present right from the beginning, but Kimbra’s voice has an almost smooth element to it that is jazz-like.

She also has powerful backup singers that harmonize with her in a soul music style.

Kimbra has a way of sounding both “new” and “old” by incorporating these various elements—the more modern style of electropop and the older jazz and soul elements.

The tune of “Miracle” is very happy and upbeat, matching the lyrics in which Kimbra sings about finding light, a newfound love and happiness.

“You’re my miracle” is sung repeatedly throughout the song and the tune of the music makes us want to rejoice with Kimbra in her discovery of her miracle.

Kimbra really gives herself to the music and puts much energy into the song, to the point where the listener wants to as well. It is hard not to want to dance or move along to the beat and the lyrics.
