Spoon has released a new video for their single, “Do You”, this week. “Do You” is from the band’s upcoming release entitled, “They Want My Soul”.
The video for “Do You” is eerie. It features a bandaged and semi-shellshocked Britt Daniel as he cruises through a city under siege. But, director Hiro Muari leaves Spoon fans wondering what, or who, is laying siege to Daniel’s location in the video.
With an array of vocals and instruments, “Do You” asks the listener a series of questions such as, “do you run when it’s just getting good?”
Intentional or not, these lyrics may cause you to ponder the question, and contemplate what you would do in a post-apocalyptic world like Daniel’s, or even – more realistically – in your daily life.

“They Want My Soul” is set for release on August 5th, 2014, and the band is offering “instant gratification” to anyone who pre-orders the album.
