Special Film Events at the Theatre at Ace Hotel DTLA to Feature Performances From Warpaint, Father John Misty and Tinashe

Sundance Institute announced the lineup for next month’s Sundance Next Fest, a showcase of music and cinema running from August 7-10 in Los Angeles, with Warpaint, father John Misty, and Tinashe scheduled to perform. The four-day summer festival takes place at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, with tickets already available.

The festival will feature six films that previously premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, as well as a 10th anniversary screening of the cult comedy Napoleon Dynamite.

“NEXT FEST is a continuation of our efforts to connect film-loving audiences with the next generation of independent filmmakers,” festival director John Cooper said. “The unique convergence of film and music enhances the experience of each and offers fresh insight into the talent and vision of these outstanding independent artists.”

Each screening will either feature an accompanying musical performance or a special conversation. Warpaint, Father John Misty, and Tinashe were announced as feature performers today.
