Roger Osborne, known as King Buzzo, is the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter and founding member of the Melvins. Buzzo Osborne has collaborated with multiple musicians in the industry including artist such as Cows, and Tool. Osborne was also the founding member and guitarist for the groups Fantomas, and Venomous Concept. He was a high school friend of Kurt Cobain, and was the bassist for Cobain’s first band, Fecal Matter, in 1986.
Buzzo has joined Tool onstage during their tour for AEnema. The Melvins also opened for Tool on the tour. In 1998, Osborne created the band Fantomas with Faith No More vocalist, Mike Patton. He remains involved in the band while also pursuing his solo career. Fantomas’ latest studio album, Suspended Animation, was released in 2005. The album hit the number seven spot on Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, and number 12 on Billboards Top Independent Albums chart.
Earlier this year, King Buzzo announced his first solo acoustic tour along with a his album, This Machine Kills Artist, which was released June 3 on Ipecac Records.
