M83 Announces Reissue of First 3 Albums For August 2014 Release

M83, a spellbinding French electronic music band, has just announced a reissue of their first three records, as well as remixes and B-sides EPs for second and third studio albums in the nearest weeks. Self-titled debut ‘M83’, ‘Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts’ and ‘Before The Dawn Heals Us’ are to be reissued on August 25th, while remixes and B-sides EPs – on September 9th, 2014.

Anthony Gonzalez, a mastermind of galaxy-named band, has eventually returned to M83 own music releases, after being involved in composing the original music for sci-fi movie ‘Oblivion’ starring Tom Cruise (title track placed No.29 in mxdwn’s Top 40 Songs of 2013), then making the original score for his brother Yann Gonzalez’ movie debut – ‘You and the Night‘, and finally – writing the title track ‘I Need You’ for Hollywood’s superproduction ‘Divergent’.

It’s good to know there is something happening in M83, since we did not hear much from the band after their 2011’s striking ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ album with a ‘Midnight City’ track, named No. 1 2011’s Top Track by Pitchfork. Except movie music releases, of course.
