Flying Lotus Announces New Album You’re Dead! For October 2014 Release

Beatsmith Flying Lotus has finally announced the release of his new album You’re Dead! due out October 7 via Warp. The album follows up the 2012 LP Until the Quiet Comes as the fifth studio album from the experimental electronic producer and musician.

While not much is known about the upcoming album, the announcement of upcoming tour dates and the visual promotion on his newly redesigned website hold promise for something new and gorily enticing.

In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Flying Lotus discussed the upcoming album as having more of a “jazz feel” following his work with jazz legend Herbie Hancock. If we’ve learned anything from his increasingly acclaimed oeuvre, the experimental artist favors creative reinvention. And we can’t wait to see what he’s come up with this time around.
