Sharon Van Etten is currently on a hiatus…for twenty days. The New York singer just finished the opening stages of a monster tour in support of her most recent album, Are We There, and she somehow found the time to pump out a new music video.

Press, touring, and now a video. Van Etten knows how to stay busy. She’s certainly made a hectic year out of 2014, dropping Are We There in May to general acclaim. A masochistically intense tour schedule soon followed, which laid out both US and European shows from June to December.
Given all that, maybe it’s best that the video for “Our Love” is such a comparatively calm piece of work. It’s a simple, largely black-and-white affair, focusing entirely on Van Etten. Like “Our Love” itself, it holds some subtleties well-worth exploration – but it’s also just darned pretty to look at. Check it out:
