Oneohtrix Point Never, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Cold Cave To Open For Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden

California noise-rap act Death Grips, who have surprisingly (well, not for Nine Inch Nails frontman) dissoluted recently, left huge gap in an upcoming Nine Inch Nails\Soundgarden tour. However, Trent Reznor, used to quick decisions in awkward situations (once and twice), immediately found the replacement for their North American trek opening. Actually, even better than the original one.

Brooklyn-based ambient drone project Oneohtrix Point Never will support the first part of the tour, New Jersey math-rockers The Dillinger Escape Plan are to appear in the second one, while LA gothic synthpop Cold Cave will be closing Nine Inch Nails\Soundgarden 2014 North American tour journey.

In a press release, OPN said that he’d be working on “30 minutes of customized hard rock cyberdrone specifically for this tour”, so that act could be a whole different story when you are visiting the live show. Should be interesting.
