Sweden’s Lykke Li recorded her first album Youth Novels when she was twenty-one. It was released in Europe in June 2008 and later that year in the US. The following year, Li won Studio8’s Female Voice of February. She was also nominated for the 2009 Meteor Music Award for Best International Female. In 2011 Li released Wounded Rhymes and won the Swedish Grammy Awards for both Best Artist and Best Album. She also took home the Festival Anthem of the Year for her song “I Follow Rivers” off of the album at the European Festivals Awards. Her third record I Never Learn was released in 2014.
She also appears on Röyksopp’s 2009 album Junior, a 2012 Fleetwood Mac tribute album and David Lynch’s 2013 record The Big Dream. In 2010 Li collaborated with Kleerup on the song “Until We Bleed.” She also contributed to the Swedish artist collective and record label INGRID’s compilation album Volym 1.
Over the course of her career, Li has been featured on Last Call with Carson Daly, Later… with Jools Holland, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
