Thank goodness for import markets. British artist Paloma Faith is getting ready for a stateside release of her critically acclaimed third album A Perfect Contradiction. Expect to see it out this coming October.
A Perfect Contradiction may be breaking news over here, but it’s a running headline across the pond. The album has been burning up music charts, holding tight to a top ten spot. Not only that, but it’s been the third highest-selling UK album of 2014. Only a salty bit of water and a delayed US release date have kept it from taking a run at American charts, but that’s about to change.
Faith has long been known for her eclectically influenced take on pop music, and A Perfect Contradiction continues the trend. Some major names signed on to the album, including falsetto sensation Pharrell Williams, who produced lead single “Can’t Rely On You”. John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Diane Warren, and many more contributed their considerable talents. It’s a divine goulash of sound – pucker up and prepare, America.
