Fusion rock legends Living Colour are celebrating their 30 years together as a band by releasing new album Shade this fall, and embarking on a North American tour to support it.
Shade will be Living Colour’s first new album since 2009’s The Chair in the Doorway, but the band has definitely stayed busy in that time, including a gig they did at San Fran’s Fox Theater last October.
For Shade, their sixth album, the four-piece got to work with producer Ron Saint Germain (Sonic Youth, Bad Brains), who happened to be the engineer on Living Colour’s award-winning debut Vivid, released in 1988.

Shade is the sound of a band coming to terms with its shadows and light. From the blue pulpit of Robert Johnson to the mean red streets of Brooklyn to the golden lure of Hollywood, Shade is the next chapter of a unique American journey.
