It’s sad, but true—the two founders of Filter Magazine have moved on to other projects. And so, the iconic music magazine will cease to run in publication.
Filter has a long and storied history as one of music journalism’s print giants, and now, after years of a great magazine and incredible music events and shows, it’s been put to rest. Alan Sartirana and Alan Miller, the two founders of Filter magazine, are striking out on their own publication ventures and also dabbling in events. Sartirana’s Anthemic Magazine publishes in the fall, and Miller’s Culture Collide franchise has already made splash in the festival scene. Culture Collide has been an L.A. tradition for several years and is in the process of expanding outside the great state of California. So, Filter may be gone, but what made the magazine great is still living on in the two men who made it.
