Housecore Horror Film Fest Announces 2014 Lineup Including Satyricon, Eyehategod and Cattle Decapitation

Housecore Horror Film Fest, which will take place October 23-26 in Austin, Texas, has announced Round 1 of its 2014 lineup.

The event was created by heavy metal legend Philip Anselmo and true-crime author Corey Mitchell. It will feature metal artists from around the world performing different styles from within the genre. In addition the the music itself, Randy Blythe of Lamb of God will be at the festival to do an interview following the screening of As The Palaces Burn. This year’s Housecore Horror Film Fest will also be celebrating the 40-year anniversary of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – it will be the first time the cast of the original film will watch it together, according to Gunnar Hansen, who played Leatherface.

Headliner Eyehategod recently released self-titled album which is one of their strongest yet in the band’s 16-year history. They also played at last year’s festival, along with Dale Crover of The Melvins.
