Goth pop Brits Esben and the Witch will soon have their third, as-yet-untitled, album coming out, and have just given a taste of what’s to come with the track “Blood Teachings”.

Esben and the Witch used the crowdfunding website PledgeMusic this year to put together enough money to hire legendary producer Steve Albini for their new album. As of June 20th, they had reached 117 percent of their goal, and have been working with Albini at Chicago’s Electrical Audio studio, with plans to release the album this fall. It will be released via Nostromo Records, as opposed to Matador, whom Esben and the Witch recently parted ways with.
“Blood Teachings” is an epic, emotionally charged rocker of a song, clocking in at just shy of 8 minutes – hear the new track for yourself, below.
