Alright, it’s best to come clean on this. Most of us have probably stayed up way past a healthy bedtime to binge watch Epic Rap Battles of History. If you haven’t, you may as well do it now, best we’re all on the same page for this one.
Epic Rap Battles won Youtube a long time ago, and just keeps on doing it. The series, a collaboration between Peter Shukoff and Lloyd Ahlquist, pits historical, fictional, and celebrity characters up against one another in lightning-fast freestyle duels. Highlights include Snoop Dogg’s appearance in Moses vs. Santa Claus, Gandalf vs. Dumbledore, and original hit Darth Vader vs. Hitler -which actually went certified gold. We don’t get to say that about Youtube stars very often.
Anyway, as the series has grown, the cast has gotten more interesting. Anytime you can pull Snoop Dogg in for duty, you’re doing something right, but ERB has topped themselves this time. Weird Al himself stopped by to play Isaac Newton, squaring off against Shukoff in the persona of Bill Nye, and no less than Chali 2na as Neil Degrasse Tyson. You have no excuse for not watching this.
