The new music child of remaining members of As I Lay Dying, Wovenwar, will embark on an American tour alongside Black Label Society as they prepare to release their first full length.
Over the past few months christian metal band As I Lay Dying has given a lot to talk about. Tim Lambesis, founding member and frontman of the band, was recently sentenced to 6 years of prison under the charges of attempt of murder after pledging guilty to the accusations of hiring hit man to murder his wife. The remaining members of the band joined forces to create Wovenwar, a lineup that features the talents of Jordan Mancino (drums), Nick Hipa (guitar), Phil Sgrosso (guitar) and Josh Gilbert (bass) and Shane Blay (vocals) of Oh, Sleeper; basically, As I Lay Dying with a different singer.
Wovenwar has been busy on the studio preparing their debut self-titled album with producer Bill Stevenson (Descendents, Black Flag) which will come out at the end of the summer. Now they’re packing up to embark on a summer tour with iconic metal band Black Label Society and Kyng!. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 30th, and Saturday, May 31st. The band will also do some european dates for the last two weeks of August. Check out the tour dates below.
