Dave Chappelle Announces Radio City Shows With The Roots and Janelle Monáe

Ten years after his legendary Brooklyn Block Party, which combined music and stand-up to become the stuff of outdoor festival legends, Dave Chappelle has announced a return to the variety show festival format. In June, he will perform for three nights at Radio City Music Hall, where he’ll be joined by artists including The Roots, Janelle Monáe, and Busta Rhymes.

After Chappelle’s five solo shows at Radio City (June 18-22nd) sold out in mere minutes, he announced this additional three-night stint at the famed concert hall. The newly added shows, each of which offers a unique lineup, will feature a full orchestra as well as some of the biggest names in hip-hop and soul, and will run from June 24 – 26.

This highly anticipated tour comes as great news to fans, who anxiously awaited Chappelle’s 2013 return to the stand-up scene after lengthy hiatus.
