Kaiser Chiefs have delivered their latest baby, a second video off their new album, “Meanwhile Up in Heaven”.
UK rockers Kaiser Chiefs unveiled their second video of their new album, “Meanwhile Up In Heaven” on Vevo. Nearly two months ago on April 1st, the band released their fifth LP, Education, Education, Education & War on ATO Records. The disc features the hit single “Coming Home which peaked at No. 1 on the U.S. Alternative Specialty Radio charts. In the Top 20 for eight weeks now, the album has also been their most popular effort since their 2007 album, Yours Truly. As David Frick of the Rolling Stones puts it, their sound is “Full of frothingly pissed-off working-class British rock, with shades of glam, pub rock, the Jam’s lefty-mod broadsides and Oasis at their most soccerhooligan-y.” We got a taste of it with the first video single off the album, “Bows & Arrows”, and “MeanWhile Up in Heaven” does not come up short. Check it out below.
The group announced that they will also return to the US for a select route of tour dates, beginning on June 10th in Pittsburg. The tour will include stops in Washington DC, New York, Minneapolis and Chicago among other cities, as well as big festival names like Glastonbury in the U.K.
