Tenacious D Announces Stacked Up Festival Supreme 2014 Lineup Including Metalocalypse, Cheech and Chong and The State

Tenacious D, the rock comedy duo consisting of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, has announced the lineup for Festival Supreme 2014 in October.

The one-day festival will take place at the LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park in downtown Los Angeles on October 25. There will be more than 40 comedians and musicians performing alongside the Circus of Death, the details of which will be revealed soon. Some of the famous faces making an appearance are rising stars like Workaholics, T.J. Miller and Jenny Slate, while others have been around for a while, such as Norm Macdonald, Janeane Garofalo and Cheech and Chong.

The State will also be at Festival Supreme 2014. The State was a collective of 11 comedians who performed sketches on a TV show of the same name in the 1990s on MTV. Kevin Allison, Michael Ian Black, Ben Garant, Todd Holoubeck, Michael Patrick Jann, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Thomas Lennon, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Michael Showalter and David Wain are members of The State. The cast reunited on March 15, 2008, at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater for another sketch show, but this will be the first time in a long time all those comedians will be back together as The State, live.

Prior to the latest Festival Supreme planning, Tenacious D has most recently released cover of “The Last in Line” by Ronnie James Dio. The song appeared on This Is Your Life, a tribute album to Dio that helped support the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

General admission tickets cost $99 plus fees, while VIP tickets go for $250. VIP passes include VIP express entry, VIP viewing at each stage and tent, a VIP Lounge featuring shaded areas, extra restrooms, food and beverage vendors and a cash bar along with a commemorative laminate. Tickets will go on sale for the 18-and-above crowd on Friday, May 30, at 10 am PST right here.
