Pharrell has announced he will be participating in the Unstaged series, where well-known directors film the live performances which are then broadcasted on Youtube and Vevo. Pharrell’s concert in particular will be directed by none other than Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Inside Man, She’s Gotta Have It). Spike Lee paved his way in cinema early on and has been involved with the “Unstaged” performances in 2010, featuring John Legend and the legendary Roots. The series has also seen the likes of Vampire Weekend (directed by Steve Buscemi), Jack Whie (directed by Gary Oldman), the Killers (directed by Werner Herzog), and Arcade Fire (directed by Terry Gilliam. It will be available to live stream at amexunstaged.com.

This is just one of many exciting projects Pharrell has announced this year. The ever-funky star most recently appeared on HBO hit show The Voice with partner in crime Gwen Stefani to perform “Hollaback Girl”. This was repeat of his incredible Coachella 2014 stints, which saw the likes of Nas, Gwen Stefani, Jay Z, Usher, Pusha T, and T.I. join him on stage. He has announced an upcoming international tour, so see if you can catch the Pharrell experience sometime this summer- it will be well worth it!
