Canadian electronic music group Zeds Dead is back with a brand new dance track and an upcoming album. Twin Shadow makes an appearance on the band’s newest song “Lost You,” and they’re not the only guest artists collaborating with Zeds Dead this time.
“Lost You” is a fun, upbeat dance track very much like the work listeners have come to expect from DC and Hooks. With vocals by D’Angelo Lacy, the track has a great drum beat and samples vocals over and over again that add to the dance party feel. Lacy and Twin Shadow aren’t the only guest artists on Zeds Dead’s new EP Somewhere Else either. Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Ferrell is on the album’s closing track, “Blink.” Big Gigantic and Omar LinX make appearances as well. Somewhere Else is expected to be released July 1st through the band’s label, Mad Decent.
In just a few short years, DC and Hooks have put out an impressive amount of electronic music as Zeds Dead. The newest album will be the duo’s fifth, and they released three in 2012 alone. A versatile band that’s proven to be experimental and influential in the electronic world, they also tend to go on all-out, extensive tours, playing more than 70 performances over the span of two months that same year.
