Garage rock outfit Le Butcherettes saved a special surprise track for us since the drop of their second album, Cry is for the Flies.
Last month, Le Butcherettes released their second studio album, Cry is for the Flies, but they withheld the indie sounding “Shame, You’re All I’ve Got” for special bonus cut. The track features Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson, who joins Le Butcherettes-fabulous Teri Gender Bender and former Mars Voltan, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez on bass- on vocals. The band’s label has notified people who previously bought the album that they will be offering a free download of the bonus cut.
Le Butcherettes is not the first time Rodriguez-Lopez and Teri Gender Bender have collaborated; first, they joined forces with John Frusciante for outfit Kimono Kult, and then released self titled album under Bosnian Rainbows. Cry is for the Flies also features guest appearance from punk guru and Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins, who delivers a spoken-word performance during the track “Moment of Guilt”.
